I declare this week, the week of July 7, 2014, turkey bacon week in my household. I don’t always buy turkey bacon, but when I do, I throw it in ALLL my meals that week. This is a #strangebutgood that I always return to: turkey bacon stuffed cinnamon roll quest nutrition bar. So good. I originally got the bacon + cinnamon quest bar idea from Danny :). Talk about sweet and salty!! Perfect combo.
Makes: 2 cinnamon rolls
- 2 strips of turkey bacon
- 1 cinnamon roll quest protein bar
- 1 TBSP cinnamon swirl protein powder (Cellucor brand)
Cook 2 strips of turkey bacon until crispy. Roll out one cinnamon roll quest nutrition bar until it’s long and flat. Then cut it in half hotdog style (bringin it back to elementary arts and crafts, so fancy) and roll each half around a strip of cooked turkey bacon to make twoooo cinnamon rolls in total. Place them on a baking sheet that’s been sprayed with nonstick spray. Bake at 400F for 5-6 mins until lightly browned. Theennnn mix the cinnamon swirl protein with a little bit of water to where it can be poured on top of the cinnamon rolls. Perfect – it’s got a little crisp to the outside but you bite in and it’s so warm and melty.
