Something magical happened. I made red velvet protein brownies then topped one with a red velvet protein drizzle and healthy chocolate Halo Top Creamery ice cream. It was like the heavens were singing to me. I shed a tear of joy and pranced in my kitchen. These lastly just barely over 24 hours in my apartment…
Makes: 9 brownies
- 3/4 cup raw old fashioned oats
- 1 can black beans (1.5 cups rinsed and drained)
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 banana (60 g)
- 2 scoops red velvet whey protein (cellucor brand)
- 3 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 TBSP stevia
- 1 TBSP vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Blend all of your ingredients together so it’s smooth! It helps to grind the oats into a flour first; it’s more fine. Spray a 9×9 baking tray with a nonstick spray. Pour your batter in. Bake at 350 F for 25-30 minutes. When a toothpick comes out clean, it’s done! Let cool, slice into 9 brownies, and enjoy!
