Starting things off!

Hey! It’s Kim! Welcome to my blog; I am so excited to get things started!

Over the past year, I found myself progressing towards a dedicated, healthy lifestyle with initial intentions to lose weight. I lost ~65 pounds, but in the process I found a passion for healthy eating and I consider the gym my second home.

Lately, friends and family have come to me asking for fitness advice or recipes of food I’ve shared on Instagram. I admit it, sometimes my own pictures make me drool. ;p  But sometimes I forget how I made something, so I figured what better way to share and save these creations (for friends as well as myself) than to create a blog of them all in one place! I’ll also be answering any fitness-related questions and sharing a few bits of my daily life along the way.

It’s taken a lot of work and research on my down time to educate myself about food and fitness, and I just want to share and make it easier for others! Clean eating shouldn’t be hard or daunting; proper nutrition makes you feel GREAT. I hope you enjoy what you find, and feel free to contact me any time! I’m open to any questions or suggestions you may have!

Wow, 65 pounds? I’m having a hard time losing 10, haha. What kind of workouts work best to losing belly fat? I just have this stubborn pouch that is in the way of a flat stomach. Any ideas?

      Haha, yep! :)

Unfortunately, you cannot target any specific area of fat loss. Fat loss occurs evenly throughout the body at once. So just stay dedicated and trust the process. Over time, when you stayed committed, all of a sudden you’ll see the fat loss you were hoping to achieve :)

Your blog and instagram are SOO inspiring!! On your FAQ page, you say that you counted calories when you were losing weight, what did you do to lose so much weight (calories, gym time, etc.)??

    • KimNo Gravatar says:

It’s all about calories in versus calories out. So I created a small deficit of calories for my body height/weight and then worked out 3-5 times a week for 30-45 minutes at first. I’d lose 1-2 pounds a week and slowly it adds up over time! Don’t look at it as the bigger picture and how much of a task it’ll be. Take it one week, one pound at a time. Then before you know it, you’ve done it.
