Green Avocado Smoothie

Today it’s been super sunny and 69 degrees F outside; it’s put me in a great mood and I’m SOO ready for the summer! I love the warmth – it energizes me like crazy. Today I came home from class and made this refreshing smoothie. It’s got all natural sweetness and it’s THICK. I loooove me some thick smoothies. Like the kind you need spoons to eat. Yeeeessss.

Serves: 1

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 huge handful of spinach
  • 1 TBSP ground flax seed (Optional)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Blend everything together and that’s it! I like to first blend my spinach with the milk because otherwise the spinach doesn’t completely blend and you get spinach chunks, meh. Also, you may need more or less almond milk, it just depends on how thick you like it. Just slowly add more almond milk until you get the thickness you want! Perfect treat for the upcoming summer.

Yum! Chia seeds are the best, aren’t they? :p But yeah! It’s a pretty simple recipe and a great starting point for people who have never made one before! :) thanks!
