Surpriseeeee, berry banana ice cream! But like, is it really a surprise anymore? I’m a definite addict now. I’ve found over the past few weeks that before cycling, my body really likes the simple sugars of banana ice cream for energy. I tried denser starches like oatmeal and rice before, but every time, I end up feeling really sick and puke-y. Yes, that’s a word: pukey.
So I decided to make this blend even more energizing before my ride by adding in some energizing blend from Your Super Foods. It’s made from Acai Berries, Guarana, Maca, Lucuma, and Banana. A perfect lil boost to add in with my bananas and strawberries! I also topped it off with pomegranate arils, cacao nibs, and raspberry apple dried fruit clusters. So wholesome and refreshing!!

Energizing Berry Banana Ice Cream
- 3-4 frozen bananas
- 6 frozen strawberries
- 15 g Energy Bomb Blend (brand is yoursuperfoods)
Blend everything in a food processor or high speed blender until smooth. Enjoy!
Suggested toppings: more berries and cacao nibs. I used pomegranate arils, cacao nibs, and a dried raspberry/apple snack.
