Birthday Cake “Poptart”

Another visalus creation!! This shake mix seriously tastes like a birthday cake. It’s crazy. The batter itself is to die for. So if you don’t have the tortillas to make the poptart, I highly recommend the birthday cake dough alone. I had absolutely NO issue eating the batter 4-5 times to perfect the recipe ;P

Serves: 1

Poptart Base

  •  2 scoops Visalus Vi-Shake mix (can substitute with 3 TBSP vanilla whey protein. It won’t be as “bday cake”y but it’s still amazing)
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • 2 tbsp oat flour (ground up old fashioned rolled oats)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 7 english toffee SweetLeaf stevia drops (Optional)
  • 1 stevia packet
  • 1 La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber tortilla (or favorite tortilla)

Cookies and Cream Protein Icing

  • 2 TBSP plain greek yogurt
  • 1 TBSP cookies and cream cellucor whey protein
  • 4-5 stevia drops

First, make your “cake batter” by mixing together all of the listed ingredients (except for the tortilla of course :p). Place the batter in the middle of your tortilla; fold all four sides like a poptart. Spray a panini press or countertop grill (I used a grill) with nonstick spray, then press down the poptart base until it starts to brown. Make the cookies and cream frosting by mixing the three ingredients together; spread on the poptart.

ENJOY YOUR GUILT FREE TREAT! :D 243 calories without the icing, 292 with!

When you buy visalus I believe the flavor it comes as pain is considered sweet cream, yes. It tastes like a birthday cake! :D

I received the visalus in order to produce a recipe for them a few months ago. I believe you can order it off their website if you’re interested!

You can generally find a friend doing it locally, but if you’d like to see the website’s offerings and read more about it, you can visit mine. I’m not a promoter, but I use it and LOVE it!

Kim! Phenomenal recipes and super great ideas here! Vi has been sharing your content with us and we’re so happy to have found your blog.

Won’t bore your readers with our personal ViSalus weight loss success stories, (I lost 84 lbs., hubby lost 35 pounds and counting, can I get a ‘what what!’ — yeah, I sneaked it in anyway…lol)but having new, creative ways to use Vi Products is not only fun for us to try, it adds an infinite, healthy variety to our otherwise Processed Food World.

YOU rock! Thank you very much. Keep em’ coming…and cannot wait to see more recipes with the new “Crunch” — good stuff here!

I just wanted to tell Michele that there are plenty of us promoting the 90 day challenge. She could watch the video at this site here and I would be happy to answer any questions spippen1.bodybyvi.com

This sounds so amazing! Can’t wait to try this with my ViShape! (just growing this out there. You order ViShape, not Visalus) lol

but I’ll probably use sugar free pudding mix for the “frosting”. This is such a good idea!

for anyone wanting to order ViShape you can email me and I’ll get you info!

Hey, I was just wondering if the coconut flour is specifically necessary. It’s the only thing for the recipe that I do not have/know where to get it. Can traditional Flour be sub’ed? I am SUPER interested in making these to provide me a snack/breakfast during my 2 hour walks every day.

It adds a sweetness to it that makes it amazing and also keeps it fairly low carb. You can always substitute with oat flour if you want (just blend raw oats). It won’t be quiiite as sweet but it’s just as delicious! :)

By the way, I get coconut flour on iherb.com! Some grocery stores have it and some whole foods.

They are not. They could be adjusted to be though. You will need gluten free oats, some different gluten-free tortilla, and different protein powders. The cookies and cream protein is not gluten-free and (not sure) but I doubt the Visalus is gluten-free.

Just wanted to note that ViSalus protein shake mix IS Gluten-Free. :)

Thanks for the recipe idea! Looking forward to trying them out!
