My friend Angela gave me a donut mold pan and I’ve been having so much fun with it! We first made Samoa donuts together, then I made chocolate mint donuts, and now this is my third recipe! So. Good. I’m excited to keep playing with it!!
Makes: 5 donuts
- 1/2 cup raw old fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 scoop cinnamon swirl whey protein (or vanilla)
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp maple extract (optional)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp apple pie spice (optional)
- 1 stevia packet
- 1/3 of an apple (35 g)
Maple Cinnamon Glaze
- 3 TBSP sugar free syrup
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 TBSP cinnamon swirl whey protein (or vanilla)
Preheat your oven to 350F. Grind your oats into a flour. Then add the remaining donut batter ingredients (except for the apple) and blend again. Chop up the apple and swirl it into the batter. Pour the batter into a sprayed donut mold pan, making 5 donuts. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
While that’s baking, make the glaze by mixing the 3 listed ingredients. Once the donuts are done, drizzle on top and enjoy!
