4 Natural Juices to Heal Your Body

The phrases “detox” and “cleanse” often have a negative connotation, with good reason. So many scam “detox diets” exist, so you really want to stray away from anything in that realm, as most are just starvation diets. Ignoring scam fads and educating yourself on what’s really in your food, you’ll see that some detoxing foods are very beneficial for overall health. Detoxifying your body truly cleanses it of any bad toxins naturally stored over time in the liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph nodes and even your skin. Removing and eliminating the toxins allows your body to be fueled on healthy nutrients instead. One way to thoroughly cleanse and heal your body is by juicing. Juicing is a great way to quickly increase the amount of fruits and vegetables you need while also consuming a great amount of vitamins and minerals.

It is important to understand that juicing by itself does not substitute for a full meal. Adding juices to your regular meals helps you consume a balanced amount of protein and good carbs. Juices are a great mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack as well.

There are several natural juices on the market that are extremely beneficial to add to your diet. Some of the best organic drinks available are wheatgrass juice, beetroot juice, Aloe Vera juice, and gooseberry juice. Each juice is explained in more depth below.

1. Wheatgrass Juice

Wheatgrass creates natural juices that pack a powerful amount of Vitamin A, B and C. It is also contains an abundance of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and potassium. Wheatgrass helps build blood, counterbalance toxins, and supply amino acids, which are important to cell, muscle, and tissue growth. It also is an energizing juice. Since wheatgrass contains an enormous amount of chlorophyll, the level of oxygen in your blood increases upon consumption, allowing any harmful toxins to exit more quickly. It is important to take wheatgrass on an empty stomach while it is fresh twice a day (two ounces at a time).

2. Beetroot Juice

Beetroot juice helps reduce your chance of cardiovascular disease because of its ability to lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar. Beetroot juice is a natural nitrate which will improve your blood flow, further giving you more energy and clearing your mind and body. For this reason, beetroot juice is great for endurance sports and extended physical activities. It is recommended that you consume about one to two cups of beetroot juice a day. Beetroot juice is also an excellent source of potassium, Vitamin C, and fiber. Beetroot juice focuses on the detoxification of your liver; the juice ensures that your liver is in optimal condition. Your liver is what processes all of the chemicals that come in contact with your body, so it is optimal to use this juice while detoxing.

3. Aloe Vera Juice

Aloe Vera juice is excellent for your overall well-being because it contains Vitamin B, C, E, and folic acid. In essence, Aloe Vera juice helps recharge your body’s immune system, helping to fight off illnesses with the minerals, enzymes, and vitamins included in the juice. There are roughly twenty different minerals and twenty different amino acids in Aloe Vera juice. You may consume up to three servings of Aloe Vera juice a day at six to eight ounces per serving. However, depending on your gender, height, and weight, you may want to start with a smaller serving at first.

4. Gooseberry Juice

Gooseberry juice is extremely high in Vitamin C; it catalyzes the synthesis of proteins, causing an increase in metabolism and the immune system. This is fantastic for weight loss as well. Gooseberry juice helps regulate blood sugar and cholesterol. Since gooseberry juice boost metabolism, an increase in energy is often seen in those that consume this juice. It is recommended that you consume about half a cup of gooseberry juice with two cups of water in the morning every day.
